Neighbour-to-neighbour solidarity. Reliable. Transparent. Safe.
Serving residents across Northwich & Cheshire West
A grassroots, 100% free community support initiative providing practical, everyday help to elderly, isolated, disabled, or overburdened residents in our neighbourhood — run by the same person who built Verafy, on the same belief that people deserve the truth and deserve to be treated with dignity.
Free at point of delivery — no hidden charges, no suggested donations, no means-testing. A judgment-free zone — we don't assess "deservingness" or quiz people about their circumstances. We ask what help someone wants, not what we think they need.
If we say Tuesday 2pm, we arrive Tuesday 2pm.
We explain what we can and can't do before we start.
Fully DBS-checked, community-verified, every visit logged.
We never override someone's choice, even if we disagree with it.
What residents share with us stays confidential unless safeguarding is at risk.
Clarity upfront prevents misunderstandings and unspoken expectations — every resident and partner sees this before we start.

No licensed trade work
Gas, high-voltage electrical, roofing — use our approved tradesmen.
Volunteers work in private homes with vulnerable adults, so every one of them is Enhanced DBS-checked, photo ID-verified, and backed by two character references before they visit anyone alone. Every visit is logged — who, when, what was done, and any concerns raised.
Signs of abuse, neglect, or a safeguarding disclosure are escalated immediately through official Cheshire West Adult Social Care duty teams and emergency channels, never handled informally. What a resident shares with us stays confidential — unless someone's safety is at risk.

Elderly people lose over £2 billion a year to fraud in the UK. Our volunteers are trained to spot the warning signs — boiler scams, fake utility calls, tech-support pop-ups, grandparent scams — and to help residents report it, without ever making them feel foolish for nearly falling for it.
Rogue traders prey on elderly people. We maintain a vetted list of local plumbers, electricians, gardeners, and other tradespeople — certification, insurance, and references checked — so residents have somewhere trustworthy to turn instead of whoever knocks on the door.
Free, confidential, and no strings attached.
